Our 1200 Deluxe Spit Braai offers you a premium choice amongst our ranges, equipped with four grid slides, potjie hook, ashpan, cowl and base, spit motor and spit shaft. Our deluxe units are much deeper and taller than your average built-in braai giving you optimal cooking space for entertainment.

What is the maximum weight of meat that I can use on the 1200 Spit Built-in Braai?

The maximum weight of the meat is up to 25 kg.

What is the recommended height to install a built-in braai?

The recommended height is generally between 80 cm to 90 cm off the floor.

What is the ashtray drawer used for?

The ashtray is an optional extra that you would need to purchase separately. The ashtray is used for easy and convenient cleaning.

What causes my built-in braai to rust?

Rust is the result of corroding steel after the iron particles have been exposed to oxygen and/or moisture and environmental factors. Due to the high heat of the fire process, the braai needs to be maintained regularly. We recommend inspection and maintenance to be done yearly. Should you live in coastal areas we recommend quarterly inspections and maintenance due to the high salt and moisture content in the air.

We recommend that you clean your braai after every use, remove the ash and wash it with soapy water wipe it down and make sure that it is dry. Do not use any sharp objects that can scratch or damage your braai. Maintaining your braai will improve longevity and prevent the need for major refurbishments or replacing your unit.
